Optional Catch Report Software
© ArgoNet Manager |
Each vessel you track will carry a compact Argos transmitter. The transmitter automatically sends the vessel's GPS positions, together with any catch reports, to the satellites. Argos processing centers receive the signals relayed from the satellites, and send the processed results to your site ashore.
More features:
- in just a couple of minutes, fishermen can enter daily reports of the quantities caught for each species, using an optional keypad terminal
- the transmitter is set up in less than an hour, and working within a second
- an interface box in the wheelhouse provides a lamp to show that the transmitter is working, and a button for requesting assistance
- if the GPS receiver fails, you continue to receive vessel positions: the ArgoNet transmitter has a backup location system based on Argos. ArgoNet is the only VMS with backup capability
- if shipboard power fails, the transmitter operates from a backup battery
- the transmitter turns itself off when in port, saving you money. It restarts automatically when the vessel leaves port
