ARGOS APPLICATIONS
TRACKING HAZARDOUS MATERIALS
MONITORING OTHER TRANSPORT MEANS

Tank and refrigerated containers are only one aspect of the ArgoTrans offer. With Argos, you can track and monitor other transport assets used to carry hazardous materials. Here are a few examples.

Tank railcars monitored with Argos
  Monitoring railcars

Argos has been used for a while to monitor tank railcars used to ship hazardous materials. CLS offers tailor made solutions to provide the following data:
  • Position information up to once an hour with 100m accuracy. This requires the AGT-G transmitter with a flat CLR-G antenna.
  • Shock information with the adequate shock sensor if you want to monitor how railcars are handled.
  • Temperature information when the products are temperature sensitive.
In all cases, data is available through the ADW and via E-Mail. The ADW features a map background where rail tracks are displayed.

  Monitoring dry containers

Dry containers are technically difficult to monitor since there is so little space available. However, CLS has overcome this problem with a specific transmitter, the DCT.
This is an all-in-one unit that fits outside of a container, on one of the walls. It takes just a few minutes to installl and provides regular updates of the position for several months.
